‘The Last Embrace’ to vie at Albanian fest

Iranian short film ‘The Last Embrace’ is to vie at the 2020 International Film Festival for Children and Young People – AniFest ROZAFA in Albania.

Directed and written by Saman Hosseinpour, ‘The Last Embrace’ will participate in the short film category of the 11th edition of the Albanian film event.

In his short film, Hosseinpour narrates the story of a family who are so busy with their cell phones that they do not notice the death of their grandfather.

‘The Last Embrace’ has already been screened at various festivals, including the 2019 East Northeast Int’l Film Festival in the US, the 2019 Int’l Children’s Film Festival in Bangladesh, the third DEFY Film Festival in the US, the 2019 Manifesto Film Festival in the Netherlands and the 10th Seoul Int’l Extreme-Short Film Festival in South Korea.

The flick is also the recipient of the Best Narrative Short award at the Earth Day Film Festival in the US and the Best Screenplay Award at the 3rd Gosh! Film Festival in France.

The International Film Festival for children and young people promotes animated films for children and compares artistic film values between Albanian and non-Albanian filmmakers.

This year’s edition of the AniFest will take place on August 16-20, 2020.
